Product Description

White shows every join, so a mismatched trim stands out far more than it would in a darker kitchen. These white woodgrain finishing components are an exact match for the White door and drawer fronts, which keeps the plinth, the cornice and the end panels from looking like a near miss. Trims in a matching white are the quickest way to make a run of cabinets look like one piece.

There are four jobs to cover. To hide the legs, choose the 3050mm Plinth, the 3000mm Decorative Plinth, or the 605 x 335mm Curved Plinth on an external curve. To frame the wall units, the Straight Square End Cornice/Pelmet, Tangent Cornice and Tangent Pelmet each run in 3050mm lengths, joined by curved cornices measuring 338 x 338mm and 372 x 372mm. To finish the sides, six end panels range from 830 x 350mm up to 2400 x 900mm, and the 2400 x 650mm T&G End Panel has a plain reverse. To turn corners, there is a Corner Post pair, three L-shaped posts, straight and curved end pillars and a curved cornice block.

Four traditional pieces, a bottle rack, plate rack, floor column and barrel pilaster, are solid timber in oak or painted ash, and the mantel parts and kit form a fireplace-style surround. A white cornice or pelmet along the wall units, a white wall end panel beside each exposed wall unit, white corner posts at the corners and a white kitchen plinth at the base then tie everything together. Aspin Collins dispatches from the UK to every UK address, and doors and drawer fronts in White can join the trims in the same basket, so a full White kitchen is easy to finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where does a white wall end panel go on a wall unit?
A wall end panel covers the exposed side of a wall unit. The white Wall End Panel is 830 x 350 x 18mm, and the Tall Wall End Panel is 990 x 375 x 18mm for taller wall units.

2. Do I want a white cornice or a white pelmet above my wall units?
A cornice sits on top of the wall units and a pelmet runs beneath them, so many kitchens use both. The Straight Square End Cornice/Pelmet is listed for either position, at 3050 x 45 x 35mm.

3. Will white corner posts work for an L-shaped kitchen with base and wall units?
There is a Corner Post pair plus three L-shaped posts: L Corner Base (715 x 70 x 70mm), L Corner Wall (715 x 28 x 28mm) and Tall L Corner Wall (895 x 28 x 28mm). Choose by unit height.

4. Why is there a gap between my white kitchen plinth and the floor?
An uneven floor or cabinet legs set too high are the usual causes. Adjust the legs to bring the plinth closer to the floor, or ask a fitter to scribe it. The white Plinth is 150mm in section.

5. Do I need white finishing components if I am only replacing my kitchen doors?
Not always. If your existing plinths and end panels are in good condition, new doors alone can work. Matching white trims give a finished look, though, and hide any mismatched or damaged edges.

6. How many white plinth lengths do I need for an 8 metre kitchen run?
Three. Each Plinth is 3050mm, so two lengths cover only 6100mm and three cover 9150mm. Add up every run first and allow a little extra for joins and cuts.
