A bespoke larder coffee station from a kitchen company costs thousands. So does a built-in dog bed. Both mean ripping out cabinets, waiting months, and living around a building site.

Our kitchen cabinet inserts do neither. Each one is a finished unit built to slide straight into a standard UK cabinet — the ones already screwed to your wall. Take the doors off, slide the insert in, done in an afternoon. No new kitchen, no joiner, no mess.

And if you move house or change your mind, it lifts straight back out and your kitchen is exactly as it was. That reversibility makes these one of the very few genuine kitchen upgrades available to renters.

The range

Portofino Coffee Bar — the slide-in larder coffee station

A complete kitchen coffee bar that fits inside a standard larder unit. Appliance bay at proper working height for pod and bean-to-cup machines, open shelving for cups and coffee jars, soft-close storage below for pods and beans, and plug-in LED lighting.

The doors come off and stay off. What you get is an open coffee station cabinet that becomes a feature of the room rather than another cupboard — machine, cups and jars on display, lit, and everything off your worktop. Fits 1920mm, 1945mm, 1970mm and 2150mm larders, finished in Brown Warmia Walnut.

Considering a breakfast larder instead?

A bi-fold or pocket-door breakfast larder closes everything away behind doors, and it's a lovely thing — but it's a new cabinet, fitted by a kitchen company, usually from £2,000 and several weeks of work.

The Portofino takes the opposite approach and uses the larder you already own. The doors come off and the coffee station becomes something you look at rather than something you shut. It costs a fraction, arrives flat-packed, and goes in the same afternoon it turns up.

If concealment is what you're after, a breakfast larder is the right answer and we'd say so. If what you actually want is the coffee station without the rebuild, this is it.

Kitchen Cabinet Dog Bed — the built-in dog bed insert

An integrated dog bed that slides into a standard base unit, so your dog has a proper spot in the room instead of a bed taking up floor space. Works just as well as a utility room or boot room dog bed.

Fits 600mm, 700mm, 800mm and 900mm cabinets, with or without a drawer above for leads and towels. Four finishes, or colour-matched to your existing doors.

A bespoke coffee larder or built-in dog bed from a kitchen designer runs into the thousands. An insert is a few hundred, and you've already paid for the cabinet.

It takes an afternoon

No survey, no fitters, no twelve-week lead time.

It's completely reversible — and renter friendly

Nothing is cut or drilled. Keep your original doors and the kitchen returns to standard in minutes, which makes a cabinet insert one of the very few reversible kitchen upgrades open to renters. If you're in a rented home, a new build you don't want to alter, or somewhere you won't be staying forever, it goes in with you and comes out with you.

It's flat-packed

Arrives by standard courier and comes through the door and up the stairs. No pallet, no tail-lift, no day waiting in. One screwdriver to assemble, then it slides into place.

It's made in Britain

Cut, edged and finished in our own workshop in Greater Manchester on CNC and industrial edgebanding equipment. We're a working joinery and panel manufacturer with over fourteen years in the trade, not a reseller — every insert is made in Britain to order.

Will a cabinet insert fit my kitchen?

UK kitchens are built to standard module sizes, which is exactly why this works.

Base units — 600mm, 700mm, 800mm and 900mm wide, around 560–570mm deep
Larder and tall units — 1920mm, 1945mm, 1970mm and 2150mm high

If your kitchen came from Howdens, Wren, Wickes, B&Q, Magnet or almost any UK supplier, it's built to these sizes.

Measure the internal width and depth of the cabinet you want to use. If you're between sizes or unsure, message us with the measurements and we'll confirm the fit before you order. Made-to-measure is available on every insert.

Designs protected

Our cabinet inserts are the subject of UK registered design filings at the Intellectual Property Office. They're our own designs, developed and manufactured here in Britain — not sourced, not copied.

Will a slide-in insert fit my kitchen?

No. Remove the existing doors and slide the insert in. Around half an hour with one screwdriver.

Do you deliver across the UK?

Yes. All inserts are flat-packed and sent by standard courier to UK mainland addresses. Collection from our Dukinfield workshop near Manchester is also available.
