Product Description

Finishing components are what turn a set of new doors into a kitchen that looks fitted rather than assembled. These ivory smooth painted finishing components are painted in the same soft, warm Ivory as our Ivory doors and drawer fronts, so the plinth, cornice and end panels blend in rather than stand out. Ivory suits kitchens that want warmth without introducing colour, and it works as a gentle backdrop for wood worktops, brushed brass handles and pale stone.

The range covers the pieces that complete a run of cabinets. An ivory kitchen plinth comes in 3050 x 150 x 18mm lengths, and the straight cornice and pelmet measures 3050 x 45 x 35mm. Ivory kitchen end panels include wall, base, tall wall and full-height tall panels, from 792 x 350 x 18mm up to 2400 x 650 x 18mm, and a tongue and groove tall panel is also available. Corner posts, end pillars, curved plinths and curved cornice pieces cover the details around corners and curved units. Every piece is MDF with a smooth matt painted finish.

If you like a more traditional look, the range also includes a bottle rack, a plate rack and mantel pieces, so you can build an ivory cornice and pelmet detail or a full mantel kit above a range cooker. Choose the ivory painted corner posts and end pillars to hide joins neatly where cabinets meet. Because everything shares one finish, you avoid mismatched tones between doors and panels. Aspin Collins is a UK-based supplier and delivers across the UK, so you can order your doors, drawer fronts and finishing components together in one matching colour.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between a cornice and a pelmet on ivory kitchen units?
A cornice finishes the top of wall units towards the ceiling, while a pelmet sits under wall units to hide lighting. The straight ivory cornice and pelmet in this range measures 3050 x 45 x 35mm.

2. Will the ivory finishing components match my Ivory kitchen doors and drawer fronts?
Yes. They are finished in the same Ivory as our Smooth Painted Shaker Kitchen Doors and drawer fronts, so the plinth, cornice and end panels blend into the rest of the kitchen.

3. Which ivory end panel should I choose for a wall unit, a base unit and a tall unit?
Use the 792 x 350 x 18mm wall end panel for wall units, the 900 x 650 x 18mm base end panel for base units, and the 990 x 375 x 18mm or 2400 x 650 x 18mm panel beside tall units.

4. How do I work out how much ivory plinth I need for my kitchen?
Measure the length of each run of base units, add them together and divide by 3.05 metres, because each plinth is 3050 mm long. Round up to the next whole length and allow for cutting.

5. What should I do if the ivory plinth is longer than my run of units?
Cut the plinth down to the length you need. It is supplied as a 3050 x 150 x 18mm length for that reason, so one piece can often cover more than one run.

6. Is it worth buying new ivory finishing components, or can I keep my old plinth and end panels?
New ivory pieces give a matching finish across the whole kitchen. Old plinths and panels may be a different shade or look worn next to new doors, so replacing them gives a more consistent result.
