Product Description

Cream gloss is often chosen for period homes, and the finishing components are what make a modern handleless kitchen feel settled in an older room. A run of cream units with exposed carcass sides or visible legs can look unfinished next to original skirting and cornicing. Cream gloss end panels give each run a crafted edge, and a cream kitchen plinth echoes the skirting boards along the floor so the units look as though they belong. Each piece is painted in the same warm cream as our Cream High-Gloss doors. Choose them with the doors so the cream is consistent from the first panel to the last.

Along the top of the wall cabinets, the square-end profile acts like a slim kitchen cornice moulding, drawing the eye along the room in the way a ceiling cornice does in a Victorian house. It can also sit beneath the units as pelmet to hide under-cabinet lighting. On curved run ends, the curved plinth, curved cornice and curved end post soften the corners, which suits the gentler lines of a traditional home. All curved pieces are designed for external curves.

For base runs, the kitchen cupboard end panel comes in slab or shaped form at 900 x 650 x 22mm, with the shaped version carrying the J-pull detail around the side. Use the 3050mm length as a plinth for kitchen units of any width, cutting it on site to suit each run. Tall, wall and breakfast bar panels, plus internal, external and L corner posts, cover the rest of the layout. End panels can also be cut to width and used as fillers where a small gap remains. Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will cream high-gloss finishing components suit a Victorian house?
Yes, cream gloss plinth and cornice sit comfortably beside original skirting and ceiling details. They give a handleless kitchen a finished edge that feels at home in an older room.

2. Does cream high-gloss cornice look like a traditional moulding?
It is a simple square-end profile, 45 x 35mm, rather than an ornate moulding. Along the top of the wall units it gives a clean line that echoes a traditional cornice without fuss.

3. Which cream high-gloss base end panel should I choose, slab or shaped?
Choose slab for a plain, flat side, or shaped if you want the J-pull detail to continue around the end of the run. Both measure 900 x 650 x 22mm.

4. Can cream high-gloss curved pieces be used on an inside corner?
No, the curved plinth, curved cornice and curved end post are made for external curves only. For an inside corner, use an internal corner post in cream gloss instead.

5. How many cream high-gloss plinth lengths will I need?
Measure the total run of base units, including islands, and divide by 3050mm. Add one extra length for cuts and returns, as every exposed end needs a short piece.

6. Do cream high-gloss end panels yellow next to white appliances?
The panels are painted cream to match the doors, so they will look warmer than a white appliance beside them. That contrast is intentional and keeps the cream scheme consistent.
