Dust grey gloss is deeper than light grey yet softer than anthracite, so the finishing pieces in this colour do a lot of quiet work. A deeper grey along the floor and up the sides of the units gives the whole kitchen a firm outline, especially when the wall cupboards are a lighter shade. Dust grey gloss end panels frame each run like a border, and a dust grey kitchen plinth forms a solid base line that stops the doors looking as if they hover above the floor. Everything is painted to the same depth as our Dust Grey High-Gloss doors.
Tall units are where these panels make the biggest difference. A larder or appliance housing standing at the end of a run shows its full side, and a 2400mm tall panel in 22mm or 19mm turns that side into a finished surface rather than bare board. Above the wall units, choose the square-end profile as cornice for kitchen cabinets to give a crisp edge against the ceiling. Corner posts, curved plinth and the curved end post complete awkward angles and rounded ends, and three L corner posts suit L-shaped units.
