Product Description
In a family kitchen, the finishing components take more knocks than the doors. Feet, mop heads and vacuum cleaners hit the plinth every day, and the end of a run beside the back door gets brushed by bags and coats. White matt end panels and a white kitchen plinth in a soft, glare-free finish hide light scuffs far better than gloss, so the kitchen still looks fresh after years of busy use. Both are painted in the same white as our White Matt doors.
The 3050mm length works as a plinth for kitchen units along every run, cut on site to fit around corners and appliances. Matching kitchen unit end panels come in wall, tall wall, base and full-height sizes, so open sides at the end of each run are protected as well as finished. Where the units meet at a corner, internal or external corner posts keep the J-pull lines straight, and L corner posts suit L-shaped cabinets. A short end panel can even be cut to width as a filler beside a fridge or dishwasher.
Above the wall units, the square-end profile becomes cornice for kitchen cabinets, giving a tidy line that stops dust collecting out of sight. Turned underneath, it hides under-cabinet lights as pelmet. For rounded run ends there is a curved plinth, curved cornice and curved end post, all for external curves. Order the pieces one by one, so you can replace a single damaged panel without buying a full set. Children's fingerprints on the lower panels wipe away easily from the matt surface with a damp cloth. Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does white matt plinth hide scuffs from feet and mops?
Better than gloss, yes. The matt surface does not reflect light, so small scuffs are far less obvious, and most marks wipe off with a soft damp cloth and mild soap.
2. Which white matt end panel goes beside a back door?
Use the base end panel, 900 x 650 x 22mm, for a standard base unit, or a tall end panel if the run ends with a larder. Both protect the cabinet side from knocks.
3. Can I replace a single damaged white matt finishing component?
Yes, every white matt panel, post and length is a separate option, so you can order just the piece that needs replacing without changing the rest of the kitchen.
4. Is white matt cornice worth fitting on wall units?
Yes, the cornice closes off the top of the wall units, giving a finished line and stopping the eye from noticing the gap above. It is 3050 x 45 x 35mm and cut to length.
5. Do white matt finishing components suit a gloss kitchen?
They are designed for white matt doors. A matt panel beside gloss doors would show a clear difference in sheen, so match the finish of your doors for a seamless look.
6. How should I clean white matt end panels and plinth?
Wipe them with a damp microfibre cloth and a drop of washing-up liquid, then dry. Skip polish and scouring pads, because rubbing a white matt surface too hard can create shiny spots.
