Product Description
Briksdal is a genuine square acoustic wall panel 600x600 design built around real creative freedom, each panel can be rotated and arranged to create a basketweave slat wall panel effect, a herringbone-style layout, or a simple grid, rather than locking you into one fixed pattern.
Available in light oak square wood panel, walnut square acoustic panel UK, smoked oak wall panel square, Grey Oak, and Black Oak finishes, this modular square slat panel range covers everything from warm natural tones through to a bold, contemporary black. Each panel features a real wood veneer surface over a high-density PET felt base, delivering both genuine acoustic performance and a premium finished look.
Moisture-resistant and built for straightforward DIY installation, Briksdal helps disguise minor wall imperfections while reducing ambient echo by up to 20%. Available through Aspin Collins as part of the wider Panelux range, it installs with simple adhesive or screw fixing and no specialist tools required.

Fixing Instructions
We recommend using a strong "no nails" panel adhesive to fix your panels directly to the wall. For extra support, such as when fitting panels to a ceiling, we'd also recommend reinforcing with black matt-coated 30mm screws.
These acoustic panels can be fixed to a range of surfaces, including plasterboard, brick, lath and plaster, tiles, and plywood. The key requirement is that the underlying surface is in good condition, with no underlying moisture, large cracks, dust, or damage. We don't recommend fitting these panels near a direct heat source, such as a fireplace, or anywhere they'll come into regular contact with water or moisture.
If you'd rather have your panels professionally fitted, our team offers installation across Manchester, Cheshire, and the surrounding areas, get in touch here to discuss your project.
Goes Well With
✔ Basketweave or grid-style feature walls, where the modular square format allows genuine layout creativity
✔ Warm traditional or transitional kitchens in Light Oak or Walnut, or bold contemporary schemes in Black Oak
✔ Larger wall areas, using multiple boxes to cover a full feature wall or media wall

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I create a basketweave pattern with these panels, or do they only work in a straight grid?
Yes, the modular square format is specifically designed to allow basketweave, herringbone-style, or grid layouts, simply rotate individual panels as you plan your arrangement.
2. Does the felt backing colour change between finishes, or is it always the same?
The felt backing stays consistent regardless of which wood finish you choose, so the visual difference between finishes comes entirely from the veneer on the front, not the backing material.
3. Do I need any special tools to cut these panels to size?
No, they can be trimmed with standard woodworking tools if needed to fit around switches, sockets, or wall edges, though most layouts won't require any cutting at all.
4. Is this the same product as the Aslund Wide Random panel?
No, Briksdal is a genuinely different format, a modular 600x600mm square panel with real creative layout freedom, while Aslund is a fixed 2400x300mm panel with one continuous rhythmic pattern.
5. Will the panels sit flush against each other, or is there a visible gap between them?
They're designed to butt together closely for a near-seamless join, though as with any real wood product, allow for the manufacturer's noted 3% measurement variation when planning tight, edge-to-edge layouts.
6. Can I mix multiple finishes on the same wall for a two-tone effect?
Yes, since every finish shares identical dimensions and felt backing, you can combine two or more colours, such as Light Oak and Black Oak, within the same basketweave or grid layout for a deliberate contrast.
