Product Description
Charcoal Matt is at its best when the base run looks solid and unbroken, and nothing breaks that look faster than a mismatched plinth. These components are made in Charcoal Matt to match our Pre-Drilled Slab doors and drawer fronts. A charcoal kitchen plinth carries the deep, low-sheen colour right down to the floor, so the units appear to sit firmly in place, which works especially well with pale flooring and a light worktop. It also suits a two-tone kitchen with paler wall units above.
Each kitchen plinth length is 2800 x 150 x 18mm and is cut on site to suit the run, so a long wall or an island perimeter can be covered with only a few lengths. Our kitchen plinths are made in the same colour as the doors, rather than a contrasting shade, which keeps the eye on the cabinets instead of the gap below. A kitchen plinth replacement is also a quick way to refresh a tired kitchen where the old plinth is chipped or swollen. Lengths are 150mm high, and joins are best placed over a cabinet leg so the seam has firm support.
Every kitchen cabinet plinth pairs with matching end panels, 19mm thick like the doors, for base, wall and tall units and the end of an island. Wall end panels are 792 x 350mm for the sides of wall cupboards. The square-ended cornice and pelmet profile finishes any Charcoal wall units, and three corner posts cover base and wall corners. Order the plinth, panels and cornice together so the whole dark run arrives in one even shade. Aspin Collins delivers across the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do Charcoal Matt components make a dark island look heavier?
Not with pale flooring and worktops around it. Matching Charcoal Matt panels and plinth make the island read as one solid, deliberate piece.
2. Why choose matching Charcoal Matt plinth instead of a contrasting one?
A matching Charcoal Matt plinth keeps the base run looking solid and continuous, while a contrasting plinth draws the eye to the gap below.
3. Can Charcoal Matt panels sit beside oak doors on an island?
Yes, on a separate run such as an island. Keep Charcoal Matt panels with Charcoal Matt doors, as the oak range is 18mm and this one is 19mm.
4. Is the Charcoal Matt cornice suitable for tall wall units?
Yes, Charcoal Matt cornice fits along the top of tall wall units as well as standard ones, cut on site from 2800mm lengths.
5. Can Charcoal Matt panels be fitted after the worktop is down?
Base end panels are easiest to fit before the worktop, so plan Charcoal Matt panels with the units. Wall end panels can be fitted at any stage.
6. Does Charcoal Matt need a wall end panel if the wall units are paler?
Only if you have Charcoal Matt wall units. With pale wall units, choose wall end panels in that colour so the sides match the doors above.
