Product Description
Anthracite gloss is often used to create a feature, and nowhere does that matter more than on a kitchen island. Without matching panels, the sides and back of an island show bare board, which spoils the bold charcoal finish of the doors. Anthracite gloss end panels wrap those sides in the same deep, reflective colour, and a breakfast bar panel of 2400 x 900 x 19mm covers deeper islands and peninsulas with seating. On a peninsula, the same panel finishes the open end where stools tuck under the worktop. Every piece is painted to match our Anthracite High-Gloss doors.
At floor level, an anthracite kitchen plinth recedes into shadow, which makes a run of dark units look as though it floats. Some people still ask for kickboards for kitchen islands, and the 3050 x 150 x 18mm plinth is exactly that, cut on site to suit each side. Fit a short length around each side of the island so the charcoal base reads as one band. The square-end profile completes the top of the wall units as cabinet cornice, or sits beneath them as pelmet. Curved plinth, curved cornice and a curved end post follow external curved doors.
For tall runs, 2400mm end panels in 22mm or 19mm cover larders and appliance housings, while wall and base panels suit standard cabinets. These kitchen panels are painted rather than wrapped, so the charcoal stays even from one piece to the next. Internal, external and L corner posts keep the J-pull lines straight where runs meet. Mitre the cornice at corners and scribe tall panels to the wall for a precise fit. Aspin Collins is a UK company that dispatches every component nationwide.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I panel a kitchen island in anthracite high-gloss?
Use base end panels on each short side and a breakfast bar panel, 2400 x 900 x 19mm, on deeper islands with seating. Finish the bottom with anthracite gloss plinth cut to length.
2. Does anthracite high-gloss plinth make the units look like they float?
Yes, a dark plinth sits in shadow under the cabinets, so the eye reads the doors first. In anthracite gloss this creates a lighter, floating look along the base run.
3. Will anthracite high-gloss panels show fingerprints?
Dark gloss shows fingerprints more than lighter colours, especially on island panels that people lean against. A quick wipe with a dry microfibre cloth restores the shine.
4. Can I pair anthracite high-gloss plinth with lighter doors?
Yes, an anthracite plinth beneath light grey or white units adds a defined base line. Keep the end panels in the door colour so the sides still match the fronts.
5. What is the anthracite high-gloss curved end post used for?
The curved end post, 2400 x 80 x 40.5mm, finishes the edge of a run with curved doors. It is cut to height and gives a neat vertical line at the end of the curve.
6. Are anthracite high-gloss finishing components priced higher than other colours?
Yes, the anthracite finish carries a small premium across the range. Each component is listed with its own price, so you can see the cost of every panel or post before ordering.
