Product Description
Nothing matches the character of real wood, and a flat slab door shows it at its best. These oak veneer kitchen doors have a face of genuine oak veneer, so every door carries the natural grain, colour and movement of the timber. Because it is real wood, no two doors are exactly alike, which gives the kitchen a warm, crafted feel that printed wood effects cannot quite match, and the oak only grows more characterful with time, mellowing gently as the years pass.
A veneered slab is a practical way to bring real oak into a kitchen: a thin layer of timber is bonded to a stable 18mm core, so the doors stay flat and true while showing natural grain. That makes oak veneer kitchen cupboard doors ideal for a Scandinavian or Japandi scheme, a modern farmhouse or a contemporary room that needs warmth. Matt black, brass and leather pull handles all suit oak veneer kitchen cabinet doors, and oak sits beautifully beside white, green and dark grey painted units, so it can also be used as a warm accent on an island or a run of open shelving.
There are 33 sizes, covering base, wall and tall units up to 1245mm, an oven filler and handed corner doors for L-shaped base and wall corners. The 685mm Vero handleless rail sizes are not made in oak. Choose real oak veneer slab doors for the whole kitchen, or mix real oak slab kitchen doors on an island with plain painted Slab colours elsewhere. Hinge drilling is optional on every door, and handles are sold separately. Your order from Aspin Collins is safely packed and sent to any UK postcode, ready for fitting.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are Oak Veneer Slab doors made of real oak?
Yes. Oak Veneer Slab doors have a face of genuine oak veneer bonded to a stable 18mm core, so the grain you see is real timber, not a printed effect.
2. Why does the grain differ between my Oak Veneer Slab doors?
Oak Veneer Slab uses real wood, so grain pattern and tone vary naturally from door to door. This variation is part of the character of a real oak kitchen.
3. Which sizes are not available in Oak Veneer Slab?
Oak Veneer Slab does not include the 685mm Vero base doors, the 490mm-high doors or the 160mm and 325mm Vero drawer fronts made in the matt colours.
4. How do I care for Oak Veneer Slab doors?
Wipe Oak Veneer Slab doors with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them straight away. Avoid soaking the doors, steam and abrasive or solvent cleaners.
5. Do Oak Veneer Slab doors change colour over time?
Like all real oak, Oak Veneer Slab can mellow slightly with exposure to daylight over the years, which is normal for natural timber.
6. Why is Oak Veneer Slab more expensive than painted Slab doors?
Oak Veneer Slab has a face of real oak, which costs more to produce than a painted board. You are paying for genuine timber with natural grain.
